While his tribe claims no country as its home, Zegai was born in New Armes, and is considered an Armes citizen. He crossed the Falenan border while hunting and not long after, he was discovered, and an attempt to arrest him resulted in a huge battle. What had started as a small patrol grew to over a hundred men, and eventually the warrior was subdued and imprisoned in Barows territory. While he may have been locked in prison, his parole came quickly as word spread of his superb fighting skills. Lord Barows took him as a gladiator, and used him as his own tool of destruction. Shoon especially admired Zegai's skills during their time together in the Stormfist Arena. Zegai is suspected to be either illiterate, or just unwilling to write commit his thoughts to paper. He uses the Sagami as his weapon and has a Wrath Rune attached to his forehead.
Before the Sun Rune War, Zegai was later involved in a bizarre plot by the Godwin family, which ended in his disqualification as a contestant for Princess Lymsleia’s Sacred Games. Instead of being executed as a spy and traitor, Zegai was assisted by Prince Freyjadour Falenas and freed; in return, Zegai later helped the prince escape from the Sun Palace during the Godwin coup d’état of Sol-Falena. He helped the Prince reach Haud Village, but when Boz showed up to escort the party to Rainwall in order to meet Barows, Zegai chose to leave the party, prefering to not have to deal with Barows again.
More later, Zegai reacquainted himself with Prince Freyjadour (who was now leader of the Loyalist Army) north of Lunas where he was hunting wild animals. Urda detested Zegai for this and his actions didn't improve her opinions of humans.
During the Sun Rune War, Zegai proved to be an extremely effective fighter on the battlefield. He also served as a bujitsu teacher, giving new insight into his soldiers' own abilities. After many victories and much bloodshed, the civil war ended and Zegai returned to the wild.
During his time in the Loyalist Army, Zegai made friends with Killey and Gunde, but little of whatever they talked about had been heard by others; perhaps they didn’t say much at all. After the war, he becomes weary of the civilized world, he leaves for the wild, where he becomes an exterminator of extremely large pests.
Role in the GameEdit
After relocating to Raftfleet, take Takamu back to Lunas and go through the Elven Road. Once through you'll hear a loud yell, go north to where Logg and Lun were caught stealing gold dust. After some odd conversation offer to let him join and he should if you were fair to him in your choices at the Sacred Games.
Note: If he refuses talk to him again and he should agree.
Zegai opens a combat training center in the castle.
Zegai is one of the strongest fighters in the game. His strength stats are outstanding, and putting a Crazed Rune on him makes his damage output lethal, even if it takes out the use of the Wrath Rune. However he pales in comparison to other spear users that can equip heavier armor and have more open rune spaces such as Nakula. Also he can only equip one skill because of his combat teacher skill, effectively wasting a skill slot.

- As you know, Zegai was Lord Barows´ gladiator and was supposed to fight for Euram in the Sacred Games.
- He comes from a small, nomadic hunting tribe. They roam the continent, not caring whose borders they cross. His tribe happened to be in Armes when he was born, so Armes considers him one of their own.
- A few years ago, he was out on a hunt when he barely crossed Falena´s border. He got arrested for looking "shady," but they say it took over 100 soldiers to get him. That caught Barows´ eye, and he decided to take Zegai in as a gladiator.
