Sorensen is the Chisyun Star in Suikoden V.
Profile[]
Background[]
Sorensen is an apprentice of Babbage. He does all the housework at Babbage workshop, in Estrise. In return, Babbage taught him his invention.
Appearance[]
Sorensen has brown hair and a white bandana on his head. He wears green worker clothes and always carry a barrel in his back, that he uses as a weapon.
Personality[]
Sorensen is a kind and polite person, a good apprentice who follows Babbage in all its experiments. He is very protective of Babbage's work and easily get carried over when someone tend to mess with his stuff, such as Lu, whom he scolds all the time.
Story[]
Game[]
During the Sun Rune War, he helped Babbage to disassemble the Revolving Bridge. He joined the Loyalist Army after Freyjadour Falenas asked Babbage to join. As a member, Sorensen helped Freyjadour on his battle against the Godwins and he stayed at the Loyalist Army's headquarter, the Ceras Lake Castle. After the war, at Babbage's request, he made a chilling lonely trek up the Ashtwal Mountains to examine the ruins contraptions.
Role in the Game[]
After relocating to Raftfleet, go to the Revolving Bridge and talk to the soldier there. Return to Estrise and talk to Babbage again. Sail to the bridge, and go to the top. After dismantling the bridge, leave the place, and return to Estrise. Sorensen will join afterwards if you ask Babbage to join.
Sorensen is a mediocre M-range fighter, who has the Gadget Rune attached to his left hand. His rune, first off, is not that useful since you only deal 0,4 times damage to all enemies, but effectively sacrifice two turns doing so. His stats are sub-par and he is in the most competitive category of the game, the M-range, being effectively outclassed by about 70% of the character roster.
But it gets worse: He has two rune slots, but one of them is blocked from the start and when you recruit him, he is still far away from getting his second. His magic abilities, skills and affinities are all below average and his inability to equip heavy armor makes him also far less useful than a normal tank.

Sorensen is one of two characters that can lead a Ballista Unit and therefore gives his unit two uses of the Catapult ability.
- Sorensen is the apprentice of Babbage, the inventor from Estrise.
- They say Sorensen respects Babbage from the bottom of his heart, but I think it's Sorensen that deserves the respect. I mean, there he is, taking care of all the household chores all by himself, for such a weird -- ECCENTRIC, uh, genius...
- And if taking care of Babbage weren't bad enough, he has to visit with Lu every time she comes over, AND clean up afterwards... Seriously, I salute that guy.
- While We're Away
I wonder what's going on with Professor's workshop in Estrise. I'm a little worried about it...
- Mining Carts
Everybody always talks about how great they are, so I went to see for myself. They were even better than I imagined! I'll bet if Wabon and Professor worked together, they could make something even better. That is, if they could manage to play nice...
