Tenko Star (Lone Star)
|Appears in||Suikoden III|
|Attached Runes||Water Rune|
He is an extremely devoted warrior from the Duck Clan. Once the head of a family with two children, he was separated from them by his work. His eldest son suddenly came down with a sickness and was dying. However, Sgt. Joe was at battle, and the progress of the battle was unfavorable, so he did not allow himself to leave the battlefield to be with his son at his deathbed.
This decision to live as a warrior instead of being with his family at such a time was a hard one, and after much consideration, he decided to live away from them. He met Lucia in battle against Zexen in SY 465. They get along well due to their life as warriors.
Later, as a mentor to Hugo, he trained him in the way of the warrior. Joe told him not to spend too much time grieving after Lulu's death, because the death of loved ones is a fact of war that cannot be changed. After the Second Fire Bringer War, however, Sgt. Joe returned to live with his family. He is also a heavy smoker in the manga.
Joins automatically in Hugo Chapter 1.

Profile: The Duck Clan is proud of this brave warrior. He has fought on many battlefields. This explains why he is so composed.
Inquiry 1: By Duck standards, he's quite good looking. They say that girls are attracted to his eyes and tail.
Inquiry 2: It is said that he was once the head of a happy family, with a wife and childern. I wonder if it's true.
Inquiry 3: For some reason, he is separated from his family. I don't know why but I admit I'm curious.
Suggestion Box LettersEdit
Hey, what's this? Who's going to read it?
- It's alright
We're going to listen to the ideas of people at eh castle. Some are nonsense, but some might be useful.
- The taste...
Zexen food has too much spice in it. I'd like to eat the homemade food of Chief Lucia.
- Good opportunity
You don't have to listen to the complaints of Rhett and Wilder. Train them strictly.
- Run ahead
There are times when we worry on the battlefield, but what's important is to join forces and face it. It's difficult to get together, but we have to.
