Seu Jin (セウ・ジン, Seu Jin) is the Chiyu Star in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century.

He was working as an arrow craftsman in Zephteros Fortress during the Telluspharma Interception War. A member of the Jin Clan. During said war, he was depressed when he got told that the arrows he made has no effect against Telluspharma. He then vowed to clear his reputation and try to make better arrows. He has a particularly remarkable ability even within his clan.

On a visit to Apiro Desert during Astrid's time, Siu Jin told the Hero about one of her comrades, Rodric, who was in Sidus Forest. After the war, there he had told some people about problems with the arrows that Seu Jin made. In the forest, Rodric told the Hero about Seu Jin's arrows. When his squad fought the Telluspharma they didn't have satisfactory results as the arrows didn't work adequately. So he reported that he arrows were not something they could use to his superiors. Because of this Seu Jin seemed to be very troubled, but Rodric thought that he got what he deserved.
The war had been over for a while. Once he had the time to calmly reflect on what happened, he started to feel that something was wrong. Was it really a defect with the arrows, or was it just that the archers didn't master them? So he decided to test them in the forest where no one could bother or interrupt him. As all of Seu Jin's arrows had been disposed of, he asked another arrow maker to make the same ones in secret. He felt that if he thoroughly shot the arrows he would know if they could really be used or not.
When he met the Hero, he felt that he was close to knowing the truth. He just needed to test it a little further. So he asked if the Hero could bring an archer to help him. Luceri came and the pair practiced in the forest. After some time he knew the truth. Not only himself, but if another archer also uses the arrows with making a mistake, Seu Jin's arrows were sufficiently powerful. In order to hide his errors, it seems that he trampled on an arrow maker's everything.
Rodric didn't think that he would be forgiven, but he knew he had to take responsibility for what happened. He left the forest to apologize to Seu Jin. When the Hero returned to the desert to speak with Seu Jin, he told the Hero that Rodric had indeed come. However, he was angry and told Rodric that it was too late to apologize. Rodric told him it was ok if he wasn't forgiven, but that he wanted Seu Jin to continue being an arrow maker. He told him that he had to keep making arrows for his descendants 100 and 200 years in the future. Because Rodric apologized that much that Seu Jin couldn't get any angrier. Seu Jin also said that he himself is a nice guy.
He asked if the Hero and his friends were the descendants that Rodric mentioned. He also said that Rodric told him that the Hero and his friends were the ones who helped him make up his mind. He did add that he was a little upset that Rodric used arrows not made by Seu Jin. Rodric said that everything was his fault, but Seu Jin also felt that his arrows were not perfect. The fact that it takes time to learn how to properly use them is a defect, and he felt that needed to be improved. He promised to improve the arrows and make them perfect. He said he would do the same thing that Sau Jin did and leave an inscription with the instructions.
Seu Jin would later tell that Hero that not only he and Rodric suffered because of the war. Family members and friends died, leaving behind many that were suffering. He also had thinks that he regrets from that time. He mentioned that there was a person nearby, L'aquila, that was suffering. He wanted to take the Hero to meet her, but the Hero explained about the Tree of Ages and how he couldn't move too far from it. Although it was a bit of a pain, Seu Jin agreed to plant the sapling in Apiro Hill.
When learning his skill, Ephil commented that his explanation was very easy to understand and she wishes that she hadn't learned it so quickly. She said that he is a very hard worker who hates to lose and is meticulous. His stone slab and arrows show this personality. She said it must have been very painful for him to have been told that his arrows were not useful. So he did the best he could within his power to leave his skill behind.

After you learn Rodric's skill, talk to Seu Jin at Apiro Desert (200 years ago). Go to Desert Fort Ruins (100 years ago) and check the blue light at the bottom right of the map (very close to the Tree of Ages).
