Pablo is a recurring character in the Suikoden series. He is Chiziku Star in Suikoden IV and a playable character in Suikoden Tactics.
Profile
Background
A young man under the employ of King Lino En Kuldes of Obel, A former pupil of Warlock, Pablo has an eager interest in Rune Cannons. Nelis is a descendant of Pablo.
Story
Game
Pablo dedicated a large amount of time to studying the Rune Cannons. A discussion with Lazlo about the man responsible for the creation of Rune Cannons led Pablo to meeting his master, Warlock. Though he calls Warlock “Master Warlock” and the two shared a Master Pupil Attack, Pablo grew frustrated with Warlock's hesitation to tell him anything about the rune cannons.
After the war, Warlock was executed for his crimes in creating the now-supposedly extinct Rune Cannons.
The extinction of Rune Cannons, however, did nothing to stop Pablo from searching again for the Rune Cannons, even going so far as to join Kyril in his quest to find the remaining few Rune Cannons in existence. After the fighting ends, when Simeon is on his home he visit him from time to time.
Many generations past his time, his family would come to be haunted by a guilt concerning his involvement in the rune cannons…
Role in the Game
Pablo joins automatically after you launch your ship to sea.
Pablo is a pretty terrible character. His strength and defense, both magical and physical are abysmal and his magic is the lowest among the pure mage type. Best to bench him from combat and only use him as a rune cannoneer during war battle.

No matter what I ask Master Warlock, he will not tell me anything. Could it be that he hates me? I will try persisting a while longer.
Return to Middleport in Chapter 9 and find Pablo in the Gossip menu. He will join you after a brief conversation.
His best feature is his HP. His Speed and defense are slow by "mage" standards. He should have a Gale Rune and a Godspeed Anklet on him to make him a little faster.
