Nifsara is the Chimei Star in Suikoden V.

BiographyEdit

The bodyguard of Shula Valya, commander of the Armes Western Marine Corps, Nifsara is a lancer trained in the long spear, Armes's speciality weapon. Nifsara is well known to chase after pretty young boys, the reason she joined with Shula's brigade in the first place. However, she insists that, although she was initially attracted to Shula by his prettiness, that isn't the reason she is his bodyguard.

Nifsara stayed with the Corps when they invaded Estrise, but since Shula's corps only deployed to keep the militant Armes Southern Mountain Corps in check, she did not do much fighting.

It wasn't until King Jalat dispatched Shula on an unofficial goodwill mission to the Prince's army. Nifsara went with him, and was quite taken back the Prince, a pretty boy himself. Lelei was extremely offended by Nifsara's flirtatuous attitude towards the Prince, calling her "Armes harlot" and wanted her nowhere near either the Prince or Lucretia.

Nifsara teases the pretty boys in the Prince's army after she joins, even setting up the secret society SAPPHIRE (Secret Alliance for the Protecting Pretty Hunks In Real Endangerment), with the mantra "To observe, to protect, and to observe some more." She recruits Linfa into the secret society early, and the two bring in Norma after they hear that Ernst was a pretty boy. She laments when pretty boys grow up to be attractive men, and tells the Prince he will soon follow that path.

After the war ends and Shula lives in Sol-Falena as Armes's diplomat, Nifsara stays with him, teasing Toma as he trains to be a Queen's Knight.

2: I heard Nifsara became Shula´s bodyguard because he´s such a handsome "boy" (if you can call him that -- he´s older than she is). She´s always liked that sort of guy. Hey, at least she knows what she wants, eh?

3: One of Armes´ better known tactics is group spearmanship, carried out by groups of three spearmen. Nifsara´s been trained for it, I´m sure.
