Joshua was the Captain of the Dragon Knights, and is the bearer of the Dragon Rune. During the Succession War, he helped Barbarossa Rugner and befriended Humphrey as well as Kreutz.

During the Toran Liberation War, the Liberation Army helped the Dragon Knights to cure the sleeping dragon, in returned he allied the Dragon Knights with the Liberation Army.
Instead of staying in Toran Castle, he stayed in the fortress of the Dragon's Den due to the fact that if he died it would result in the death of all dragons in the world.
During the final battle, Joshua combined the power of the Dragon Rune with Leknaat's Gate Rune, and together they sent the monster that Windy, had summoned back to the World of Emptiness.
After the war, it is still unknown if he attained the first rank position as "The Dragon Father", after passing the Dragon Rune and his position as the Captain of the Dragon Knights to Milia.

Joshua joins automatically after Tir returns from Seek Valley.
