The training camp where Dragon Cavalry trainees are made into Dragon Cavalry Knights. It is also the breeding grounds of the Dragon Horses, who can only breed in this one spot in all the world. Should a dragon-horse lay her eggs in another location, they will lay dormant for all time; only in Gordius will the eggs hatch. Because of this, Gordius is the most important area for the Dragon Cavalry, and entrance is strictly monitored.
During the Falenan Civil War, Nether Gate took advantage of this fact; seizing the dragon eggs and holding the dragon cavalry at a standstill. Thankfully, due to the interference of the Dragon Cavalry knights and Prince Freyjadour Falenas, the dragon eggs were freed from Nether Gate's clutches before much harm could come to them.
Traditionally, the Dragon Cavalry forbade woman riders, and as such no women could enter Gordius. However, in the year 450, Commander Rahal reversed the long standing tradition and women were allowed to both join the ranks of the dragon cavalry and, naturally, enter Gordius.
Gordius received its first canon mention from Estella in Suikoden III where it was said to be like Alma Kinan, only populated all by males. This turned out to only be half true, as it was indeed once all men but had since began admitting women by the time Estella began speaking of it.
