Dunan Unification War Edit
Genshu was once a sword-for-hire, living as an assassin. However, his brother, who hoped Genshu would quit his dishonorable line of work, disguised himself as Genshu's target. Genshu failed to recognize him and killed him. Realizing that he killed his own brother, he quit his profession and decided to take his swordsmanship seriously by honing his mind. He has an obsession with powerful swords, and is particularly obsessed with the Star Dragon Sword.
Post-Dunan Unification WarEdit
After the war, he returned to his life of wandering. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
Speak to Genshu at the Coronet docks with anyone's weapon sharped to level 14 or above. Must also have at least 101 stars.
Note: If Tessai does not have a Silver Hammer or Golden Hammer, recruit and bring Pesmerga in your party, as his sword is level 14 automatically. Genshu is one of the last Stars of Destiny required to get all 108 Stars.
Genshu can participate in Swordsman Attack.

Suggestion Box LettersEdit
- Strike with your mind
To strike truly with your sword, you must strike truly with your mind. ~Genshu
"They say his sword is so swift that the naked eye can't see it. He's come a long way to be here with us, It's Lord Genshu!!!"
- Genshu's design is based around popular Ronin archetypes found in Japanese Media. His signature rune, the Swallow Rune, is based off the famous "Swallow Cut" move of Kojiro Sasaki, and his design and past as a reformed assassin who mistakenly murdered a loved one is reminiscent of Nobuhiro Watsuki's Kenshin Himura from the manga Rurouni Kenshin.
