Budehuc Castle (ビュッデヒュッケ城; Byuddehyukke Jou) is a location and headquarter in Suikoden III.
Overview[]
Budehuc Castle is an old dilapidated castle that sits on the borders of Zexen and the Grasslands. It was an important meeting place for Zexen and Grassland back when they used to be on friendly terms. Since then, it has become a traditional custom for rich nobles to send their second born sons to become masters there. Thomas was appointed as the new castle master by his father, Councilor Lowma.
However, Thomas discovers that the castle has fallen on hard times and is in danger of becoming obsolete. To keep from going bankrupt, Thomas leases out the parts of the Castle's land to merchants. It is then that Thomas would encounter Hugo, Chris and Geddoe who fill his Castle with their Stars of Destiny.
When the Zexen Council find out about the attempts to rejuvenate Budehuc Castle, they attempt to close down all shops and remove Thomas as the Castle Master. To counter this heinous attempt, Thomas sold the castle to Chief Lucia of the Karaya Clan for 200 potch. In return, Chief Lucia entered a 200 year lease deal at the price of 1 potch per year.
Role in the Game[]
Following the war at Brass Castle, Budehuc Castle would later come to serve as the Headquarters for the Fire Bringer.
