Bastan is the art appraiser of Haud Village. He's always had a hard time trying to force his own aethethic tastes into matching up with Lord Barows, but he endure it to sent money for his family.

During the Sun Rune War, he joined the Loyalist Army after appreciating a painting by the famous Ivanov brought by Freyjadour Falenas. He relocated his shop in the Loyalist headquarter, the Ceras Lake Castle. After the war, he returned to appraise art in Haud Village, now seemingly at peace with its eccentric citizenry.
Role in the Game[]
After the restoration of Lordlake, with a "? Painting" in your inventory, talk to him and close the appraise window in Haud Village until you get a scene.
Note: You should not appraise the "? Painting", as the scene triggers randomly and identifies it as a painting by Ivanov. So if it does not trigger, exit the shop and go back in.Bastan opens an appraisal shop in your castle.
Bastan comes with the Appraisal ability that allows you to appraise items anywhere.
Bastan adds the Weakness ability to a military unit.
- Bastan was a Haud Village art appraiser. He's always had a hard time about it, trying to force his own aethethic tastes into matching up with Lord Barows´. But now, thanks to you, he knows he doesn't have to do that anymore.
- He says he's less interested in painting and sculptures than he is in pottery and dishes. They're both useful in everyday life and artistically valuable.
- He's got a family living somewhere else, and he sends them money regularly. That's why he couldn't tear himself away from Haud Village -- he had to support them.
