The Kingdom of Astrasia (アストラシア王国; Asutorashia Oukoku) is a country in Suikoden Tierkreis.
Description[]
The Kingdom of Astrasia was a kingdom located in the western part of the continent, on the north side of the Ch'olui Mountains. The capital was Pharamond, a city constructed like a fortress that was difficult to attack.
Although it was a small country, it valued bravery, and both the nobility and royalty were expected to hone their skills with swords from a young age. It became the tradition that the person who took up the throne would inherit the prized swords Divine Edge and the knowledge that came with them. Because it had these customs, the Royal Knights of Astrasia were praised as the strongest on the continent, and the kingdom was famously known as the "Country of Valor."
Originally, the the Kingdom of Astrasia belonged to another world. However, that world was destroyed and the Kingdom of Astrasia was merged along with its Chronicle, the "Twin Blades." All of its people forgot about their previous world and their battle against The One King.
When the Kingdom was invaded by The Order of the One True Way, a sudden heavy rain caused a landslide. Without even going to battle, Astrasia lost more than half of its military force. The Royal Knights, who were on the front line, were dived, and the capital of Pharamond had no choice but to surrender. The King and the Queen were killed, and it was decided that the Kingdom would be placed under military occupation by the Order.
Although control by the Order continued for two years, the crown princess Chrodechild received assistance from Sieg and the Viele Wege Company, and returned to Pharamond. She succeeded in expelling the Order's military and thus restored Astraia's sovereignty. The citizens had waited for her return and had not lost hope that she would liberate the country.
After the end of the war, thanks to the efforts of Chrodechild, who ascended the throne, they accomplished a remarkable recovery and restoration.
