Amada is the is the sluice gate keeper in Radat Town.

In order to recruit Shu, Riou went Radat sluice gate and talk to Amada. He told him to closed the sluice gate but Amada will only closed the sluice gate on one condition. Riou must defeat him into a one on one duel. After Riou wins he closed the sluice gate.
On the second meeting of Riou asked Amada to joined the New State Army. Again Amada challenge him into one on one duel and he got defeated and joined Riou. After the war, he commandeered a ship and returned to the island countries.

- In the Japanese version, his weapons are references to the card game Koi-Koi
. In order, they are "Tane" (animal), "Tanzaku" (ribbon card)", and "Shikou" (four lights).[1]
